Stainless steel slit strip
Strip slit longitudinally from a master coil to the width required by your production process. Plan strip count, width yield and total edge trim.
Dimensions and standards
The company materials indicate slitting widths from 20 mm. Slit strip dimensions and tolerances depend on the source coil and the agreed process. GOST 4986-79 covers cold-rolled stainless strip within a defined scope: thickness 0.05–2 mm and width 6–410 mm. It does not automatically cover every slit product.
Mass and length calculation
Strip count is N = floor((B − total edge trim) / b). Width yield is N × b / B × 100%. This estimate does not include knife clearances or process losses beyond the entered edge trim.
Grades and applications
Choose the grade for the environment, temperature and manufacturing process. Review the individual grade pages for approximate GOST comparisons and fabrication considerations.
